Raising Gang Foreman
Leads and supervises the raising gang crew during structural steel erection activities. Responsible for coordinating daily work plans, enforcing safety standards, ensuring quality and alignment with project specifications, and maintaining clear communication with site supervision. Serves as the primary point of accountability for productivity, crew performance, and safe execution of lifts and placements.
Detail Foreman
Oversees detail crew operations including bolt-up, plumbing, racking, and welding activities. Ensures work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with drawings, tolerances, and safety requirements. Provides technical guidance, assigns tasks, and collaborates with project leadership to maintain schedule and quality expectations.
Raising Gang Ironworker
Performs structural steel erection tasks including connecting, rigging, aligning, and securing steel members at height. Works closely with crane operators, foremen, and fellow crew members to execute lifts safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols and project specifications.
Yard Gang / Forklift Operator
Manages material handling, staging, loading, and unloading of steel and equipment within the yard or jobsite. Operates forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to ensure safe transport and organization of materials. Maintains clean, efficient laydown areas and supports field crews with timely material delivery.
Detail Gang – Bolt Up
Installs and tightens structural bolts according to engineering specifications and torque requirements. Verifies proper fit-up of steel members, maintains alignment, and works collaboratively with the plumbing and welding crews to achieve structural integrity and quality standards.
Detail Gang – Plumb/Rack
Aligns, levels, and squares structural steel assemblies to meet design tolerances. Utilizes measurement tools and adjustment techniques to ensure accurate positioning before final connections. Plays a critical role in maintaining structural accuracy and overall project quality.
Detail Gang – Welding
Performs certified welding operations on structural components in accordance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards. Conducts visual inspections of welds, maintains equipment, and follows strict safety and procedural requirements to ensure structural reliability.
Spotter / Laborer
Provides general jobsite support including traffic control, equipment spotting, material handling, and housekeeping. Assists crews with tools and setup, maintains safe work zones, and serves as an extra set of eyes to enhance safety, communication, and efficiency across all site operations.
