JGM, a Heavy Fabricator & Industrial Construction Company is seeking An Industrial Estimator/PM to join our team. We are seeking an energetic, detailed oriented team player to help us become the FASTEST, SAFEST, MOST EFFECTIVE FABRICATOR and CONSTRUCTOR IN THE WORLD.
A great candidate would fit the following:
B.S. degree in Construction Management or Engineering plus a minimum of five years’ experience in industrial Construction.
Demonstrated knowledge in producing detailed fixed price estimates along with the ability and efficiency to use computer/network based estimating software to produce detailed line item estimates.
Proficient with MS Word and MS Excel.
Proficient with On Screen Take off software such as Blue Beam or On-Screen Take off
Familiar with Procore construction software.
Strong understanding of the principles, methods, and techniques of Engineering.
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Experience with Google Sketchup and or AutoCAD a plus.
Performs estimating duties when required in preparing cost analysis for labor, equipment, and materials.
Study work orders, diagrams, specifications, drawings, and blueprints to understand scope of work to be bid.
Develop detailed project scope of work and solicit subcontractor/vendor quotations to ensure coverage on all scopes of work and client expectations.
Assist in negotiating subcontracts and procurement of materials and equipment.
Responsible for the developing and maintaining Project schedules and cost controls along with Risk Management.
Reviews all construction documents including instructions to bidders, scope of work and general conditions.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits which may result in travel times on occasions.
Coordinate subcontractor buyout; Review subcontractor proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements. Negotiate with subcontractors and preparing detailed subcontractor agreements.
Prepare proposal package for submission to client and attend negotiations to support the proposal as submitted.
Establish and track required submittals.
Coordinate project close-out; to include obtaining required documentation, assisting in pre-final inspections and As-Built drawings
Ensure compliance with JGMs Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) guidelines and procedures along with all local requirements (OSHA, MSHA, USACE EM385.1.1, etc.).
Responsible for notifying supervisor if an HSEQ infraction is observed.
Ability to work remotely on project sites if needed. Project locations vary and could require temporary lodging at times
