This is a permanent position based around our headquarters in Coatesville, PA. This is NOT a constant per diem job. Per Diem is only supplied if the job is outside of a certain radius of our headquarters and bid within the job. Serious candidates only.
Reports to: Project Foreman
Purpose: To perform all steel erection duties safely at an industrial site. Must be able to read and interpret information for construction and/or fabrication
Work Schedule: Varies by location. Must have open availability any time any day of the week. Travel required at times
Essential Skills:(may include but are not limited to the ability to)
Understanding of standard erection and installation procedures including:
Proper use of craft tools and equipment
Perform safe rigging set-up and procedures
Follow bolt installation procedures and standards established in the job specification
Unload, check and organize materials for the job
Working safely and effectively at varying elevations while maintaining 100% tie-off conditions as set forth by JGM management
Always work in a safe manner
Wear and use required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
Able to work in varying field conditions including at high elevations and 100% tie-off condition
Must be able to operate all standard industry tools
Must have a valid license and able to operate the following:
Company trucks (DOT)
10,000 lbs. gas powered fork truck
High-reach equipment up to 45 feet
Carry-deck crane and small capacity lifts
Maintain a clean and professional appearance dictated by the job site.
Understand and follow the day’s plan as set forth by the Superintendent and/or Foreman
Clock-in and allocate time correctly
Participate in required job site planning and safety meetings
Have the proper tools to do your work at all times
Maintain and take care of company equipment and tooling
Return company tools to the assigned location at the end of each day
Essential Qualifications:
Formal training and experience in the construction industry
Understand welding set-up and procedures for various field conditions
High School or equivalent education
Understanding about when to stop/hold production or work for safety or quality on their assigned task

Employee may be required to perform the following
Climb stepladders and extension ladders
Work from a raised platform
Climb stairs
Operate tools properly and safely
Operate high reaches, scissor lifts, fork-trucks, cranes, if properly trained.
Pass pulmonary tests to wear respirator
Employee may be required to properly drills, welding equipment, saws, ladders, levels, wrenches, hammers, safety equipment, all tools in the requirements list, etc.
