Covanta Energy is a waste-to-energy power plant with more than 30 locations across the country. JGM has been a trusted partner of Covanta for the past eight years, so when they needed turnkey industrial construction management services for their new structural steel building, Covanta asked JGM to provide a lump sum proposal.
JGM gave Covanta a $1.5 million proposal to supply all labor, equipment and materials for the construction of a new metals recovery system, which is designed to pull out all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals from the bottom ash created from the WTE incinerators. The project included both civil work and the mechanical installation of all conveyors and equipment.
JGM was also charged with commissioning all of the equipment required for the project. JGM provided all of theĀ detailing, engineering, andĀ fabrication of structural steel, grating, stairs and handrails for this project.
