How long have you been with JGM? What are your roles and responsibilities?
Luke: I have been with JGM since July 31, 2023. I started at the Coatesville plant and more recently have taken over the Sinking Spring plant maintenance and reliability, and process improvement.
Please share a brief overview of your career journey and how you ended up in your current role.
Luke: I graduated from Millersville University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Education. After graduation I went to work for a small family-owned automation company where I did welding, machining, electrical, and pneumatics. From there I went to work for CNH Industrial as a manufacturing engineer. In this role I had ownership of welding, assembly, and finishing operations. From CNH I went on to High Concrete Group and worked as a continuous improvement engineer and a new product development lead. After High Concrete Group I returned to CNH Industrial as a parts making manager with oversight of 140 employees. Wanting to get back to a smaller, more family-style business, I took the opportunity to join the JGM team as plant manager.
What is your favorite part of JGM’s culture or workplace environment?
Luke: My favorite thing about JGM is that we are ready and willing to invest in our people, facilities, and in the business so we can continue to grow and be a success story both today and in the future.
What is one piece of advice you would give to others in your field?
Luke: The best advice I can give is to learn a little bit about a lot of different things and then specialize in those most relevant to your current situation.
What are your hobbies in your free time?
Luke: I like to travel and spend time with family and friends. I enjoy playing video games with my two boys (ages seven and five) as well as coaching tee ball.
