JGM was recently awarded approximately 6,200 tons of D1.5 plate girders, diaphragms, and bracing for the Midtown Bus Terminal New Ramp Structure in Midtown Manhattan replacing a 75-year-old obsolete facility. Our scope represents ~21% of the total New Ramp Structure tonnage and includes fabrication of 400+ plate girders and nearly 900 diaphragm assemblies at our Sinking Spring, PA facility. JGM will self-perform material procurement, fabrication, in-house 3D scanning and metrology/QC, and paint.
The new ramp will deliver a direct connection to the Lincoln Tunnel and Terminal, adding queue space and bypass capability to reduce bus traffic on local city streets.
