Showcasing Our Commitment to Safety During Safe + Sound Week
At JGM, we are committed to building a safer, stronger, and more resilient workplace. Each year, we participate in Safe + Sound Week, a campaign that highlights the importance of health and safety programs and shares information on how to keep employees out of harm’s way. During Safe + Sound Week 2024, our employees learned how to properly use a fire extinguisher using the P.A.S.S. method (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep). Team members also had the opportunity to reflect on why safety matters to them.
Our F.A.S.T. Team Continues to Learn New Skills
Our F.A.S.T. team continues to grow and learn new skills from Joe Kennedy, EMS Chief at Westwood Fire Company. Recently, Joe trained our team on how to respond to an unresponsive person with no heartbeat in cardiac arrest. He also worked with our team to address a scenario where an individual had been impaled in the abdomen but was conscious. We appreciate the knowledge Joe shares with our employees and commend our F.A.S.T. team for their commitment to safety.
Hosting a Blood Drive to Save Lives
We recently held our 2nd annual blood drive and collected over 35 pints of blood, exceeding our goal of 22 pints! Nearly 17% of our employees were first-time donors. We are proud of our team for continuing to help our local community and save lives.
