Please introduce yourself:
Jay: I’m Jay Sinclair, controller, and I joined the JGM team at the beginning of 2022.
What are your daily job responsibilities?
Jay: I monitor the company’s financial health by maintaining, managing, and analyzing project performance and financial statements.
What is your favorite part about working at JGM?
Jay: I really enjoy being part of an organization that’s growing.
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
Jay: I would love to be a special agent in the National Security Division of the FBI.
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone pursuing a career in financial accounting?
Jay: For me, it was helpful to have an interest in, and a good understanding of the fabrication and construction industry when it comes to the accounting and auditing part of the business. Having the understanding and the interest really helps with the role.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
Jay: I enjoy yard work, spending time with my family, and working on home and vehicle projects.
What’s something about you (a fun fact) that few people know or that might surprise people?
Jay: I have 52 first cousins and too many second cousins to count!
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?
Jay: Ryan Reynolds.
If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?
Jay: I would definitely bring a space blanket, knife, and satellite phone.
