Koenig Engineers contacted JGM for support with their stainless steel piping assemblies. These components were being installed on their Gas Turbine Starting Systems which they design and manufacture for the power industry. The piping system must be fabricated to extremely tight tolerances to guarantee fit up. JGM fabricated a custom fixture to allow for seamless production of all future assemblies. Additionally, JGM had to ensure the welding process was done in such a way to minimize distortion. The stainless-steel piping was fabricated and welded using the GTAW process. Our welding procedure required a 100% argon purge to ensure a smooth finish on the inside of the piping system. This pipe fabrication was performed under the ASME B31.1 power piping code.
