JGM was contracted by Binsky & Snyder to unload, rig and install a Victory package boiler, a cooling tower, vacuum skids and other miscellaneous mechanical equipment for the new A. I. Dupont Hospital’s central utility plant located in Wilmington, DE.
After careful coordination with our client and the Construction Manager we developed a detailed rigging and logistic plan to ensure a smooth equipment install. The boiler alone weighed in excess of 80,000 lbs. Utilizing our runway channels and 20,000 lb capacity machinery skates we were able to move the unit right into place. Additionally, we provided structural engineering services to evaluate the existing structure to ensure it had the needed capacity to support these critical lifts.
